Did you ever hit Enter, thinking of a new line in Microsoft Teams and send a half prepared message. If then this article is for you. It’s very normal that you will have to add multiple lines in your messages.
Some people uses a different text editor to type the long message and copy paste everything to avoid sending partial messages.
But you have several ways to add new line in Microsoft Teams chat software.
1) Usage of SHIFT+ENTER
You can use SHIFT+ENTER to enter the new line in textbox when you composing a message. And this seems so easy as it’s just holding an extra key.
But what if we forget to hold the SHIFT button and hit the ENTER, oops the message is gone. It’s annoying to delete a message after we sent to a person, the other person may have a wrong impression.
So our next solution comes very handy in this case
2) Usage of Format button (the first button with an icon of ‘A’)
You have to press the button ‘A’ with a brush icon, and it will open a rich text editor that look like a comment text box in some websites.
You can write whatever you want with the help of limited formatting option. For example, you highlight some text with color, and make the main parts in bold etc.
